The Youth Development Director is responsible for the Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership, Anti-Tobacco, Science and girl-specific programming at the Levin Clubhouse in South San Jose. S/he plans, manages and implements the designated Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley programs to meet the needs and interests of children, ages 6-18.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• Work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Knowledge of wide range of physical sports activities.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to deal with the general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Ability to lead children in physical games and activities.
• Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
• Valid California Drivers License preferred.
