University of Colorado at Colorado Springs School of Engineering 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student, Cumulative 3.1 GPA. Cardinal Newman High School, General college prep. Graduated with a cumulative 3.36 GPA, and Honors in Physics and Latin.
Experience
CNC Lathe operator/Setup. Run a variety of lathes with Fanuc controls (mostly 21-T and 0T), making high precision (+/- .0002") pulleys for various industries. I am fully familiar with QA techniques including gage pin use and some optical projector use. Multitasking was a must, QA of parts or flanging during cycle time was routine. I performed full setups and some minor G-code programming with Predator, and editing at the machine.
Research Technician, United States Air Force Academy. Experience with aspects of metal (Mostly Aluminum and steel) machining. Haas and Acu-Rite CNC mill experience, as well as manual mill work and some manual lathe experience. Hansvedt EDM (Plunge and some wire) experience as well. Experienced with drawing parts in Inventor and SolidWorks, then programming millpaths with Mastercam v9. Detail oriented work, with tolerances down to .001”. Had to work on my own without direction, and solve problems independently.
Store Associate, KB Toys of Colorado. Customer assistance, Cash register, also experience in unloading/warehousing and placing product on shelves to maximize sales.__Laborer, CLP Resources, Inc. Experience in many phases of residential and commercial construction. Duties include concrete forming and finishing, rough framing, and all phases of roofing. Also have sweat solder experience as well as extensive knowledge of residential and irrigation PVC systems.
Courtesy Clerk, Safeway Supermarkets. Customer Assistance, cart collection and light janitorial duties. Some unloading and warehousing, as well as graveyard shift and stocking experience.
Metal shop help, Cesco Magnetics. General metal shop duties include Press brake operation, bead blasting, polishing and sanding, drill press, and bandsaw. Also reorganized stock area for easier and more efficient work.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, CAD (Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks) and MasterCAM. Can troubleshoot computers running Windows 98 and especially XP. Network, hardware and software installation experience, as well as building systems from the ground up.
Activities Member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Chairman of Activities and Competitions for UCCS ASME chapter, 2003 and 2004.
