To a large degree, it isn't the car, but the driver. Most drivers are so lousy that they aren't tapping even 75 percent of the capabilities of their car -- be it a Honda Civic Si or a Ferrari 430. In fact, the more sporting and performance-oriented the car, the less it's probably being used anywhere near the boundaries of its engineering and performance.
Yeah, some of you can tell the difference -- really tell the difference -- between Sports Car A and Sports Car B. But for most of you, a car is simply a means to get from Point A to Point B while choking down food handed to you through the window. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that... but please don't tell the rest of us you know jack shit about driving, or what makes a great car. Until you can, say, demonstrate heel-toe downshifting, your opinion means nothing.
