In these HOLISTIC THERAPY GROUPS, you will find a caring and safe space to explore:
- Finding peace and pleasure in your body
- How to overcome specific sexual difficulties
- Your sexual turn-ons and how to manifest them
- Embracing alternative, even “taboo” fantasies and practices
- Healing childhood wounds by tapping into your most charged passions and pleasures
- Uncovering your sexual truth by peeling away shame-filled stories
- Conscious communication with a partner about sex
- Bridging intimacy and deep love with satisfying sex
- Creating a healthy sexuality for yourself throughout your life
The Sexual Healing AND Empowerment groups are open to women of all sexual orientations and gender identities, and are limited to 8 participants
THE FOLLOWING LISTS THE SPECIFICS:
WHEN: Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:30pm, beginning at the end of March, 2006. Groups are ongoing with a 16-session initial commitment. This may include a 4-hour (double) session on a weekend day during the initial commitment period.
WHERE: Near Sutter & Van Ness Streets, San Francisco
COST: $45 per session (Sliding scale may be available)

THE FOLLOWING PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT THE THERAPIST:
Beth Apfelbaum, MA, MFTI has been leading Sexual Healing and Empowerment groups for women for the last 5 years. A firm believer in the healing power of group work, she continues to be moved by the transformation of her groups’ participants. Beth is an advanced Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (#37179) — very soon to be licesned — who works with individuals, couples and groups. She has nearly two decades of experience as a sex counselor and educator and has extensive training in the body/mind therapies of EMDR, Gestalt, Rebirthing and Hakomi. Beth is a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and works in the private practice of Laura Goldberger, MFT, MFC 36388.
