Why Not Donate for Tax Deduction instead of Giveaway for Free? (downtown / civic / van ness)

Title Why Not Donate for Tax Deduction instead of Giveaway for Free? (downtown / civic / van ness)

Description Hi,

I'm working with the Multiple Myeloma Foundation to sell items on ebay. You will be provided with a tax deductible receipt once the item has sold and 100% of the proceeds will go to fight Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer. I will pick the items up directly from you and once the auction is listed, you can watch your item sell!

I'm seeking items that are easily shippable and are of >$25 in value...electronics, knick-knacks, etc.

Kind Regards,

KD

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) was founded in 1998 by twin sisters Karen Andrews and Kathy Giusti with the mission of accelerating the research for a cure for multiple myeloma. Today, the MMRF is the number-one private funder of myeloma-specific research, raising over $50 million to fund 51 institutions worldwide. The MMRF is also dedicated to building collaborations among academia, pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms, and the National Cancer Institute(NCI) to improve therapeutic treatments for multiple myeloma patients. The MMRF is the world's only non-profit organization to have earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, approval by Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability, and approval by the NCI for its grants-making process.
