We are a successful eight year old small family-run massage & wellness center providing great services for stressed-out, over-worked, injured, or just plain folks who need/want help getting " well" and feeling better through massage, rehabilitation, weight-loss programs, ergonomic education a variety of other “wellness” services.

Because we are a small business the job really is a ‘Jack/Jill-of-All Trades’ position that encompases everything from new business development, warm-business re-generating, marketing, writing copy, newsletters and press releases, and also running the front desk and helping with the day-to-day business needs.

We must insure they are happy from that first initial contact with our company all the way through until even long after they leave! In addition you will help the Director with everything from the tiniest detail to the biggest tasks and be able to “run the show” when she’s not there. It’s imperative you get along with a diverse group of people everyday, follow instructions and the systems which are in place, and yet, be self-motivated to see and take care of what is needed or suggest new things to enhance what is already in place.

Please note that even though this position handles reception and office tasks, it is also a sales position which will be done while you’re on shift in-house, but also outside sales will earn you higher commission. (Please be well studied in (non- hard-sell) consultative selling techniques.)

Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in outside sales and marketing as well as strong office skills. You will have some knowledge of the spa, wellness or health care industry.

Compensation
Salary plus unlimited monthly commission / bonuses based on your superb performance and new- biz development.
(Health care may also be negotiated as part of your base.)

INFRONT of THE SCENES: Help us create a warm professional environment both in person, on the phone and in written correspondence where our customer (most) always comes first. You will answer questions and consult with clients so we are sure they are appropriately scheduled. (we will train you - but an understanding of the types of services we offer would be a huge plus!)

BEHIND THE SCENES: Reception/Front Desk Shifts:
Almost everything is protocol and procedural. So your ability to follow P & Ps is paramount. You will handle a two-line phone system, two Machintosh computers (you MUST know Mac OSX), a fax machine, copier and know how to do all the basics such as process credit cards, spell and file.

You will also be asked to do some light cleaning (bathrooms too!) and daily maintenance of the office such as sweeping the front sidewalk and porch, recycling, changing light bulbs, and watering plants.

The position entails scheduling up to four rooms simultaneously, handling client payments, pulling charts, speaking intelligently with physician’s offices, insurance companies, patients, clients and other businesses.

Writing skills will be needed for basic correspondence and help with press releases, web content and our newsletter.
