Business Card CD-ROM

For the past 8 years, I have been both freelancing and working full time as a
web designer/developer and web/online advisor for several local businesses.

While I was employed by Greenville Heritage Credit Union
as an IT/Web Specialist, I was involved in many different duties. In essence,
I learned how to effectively balance multiple tasks and complete them all
in a timely manner. I also have extensive experience in preparing and optimizing
video for the web and presentations as well as creating newsletters that are
sent out via email.

Concerning my freelance years, I am constantly learning
and honing many valuable skills some of which I will now list: how to better
communicate and to interact with demanding people, how to interpret customers’
needs, and how to effectively utilize my skills in order to satisfy the demands of my
projects.

Furthermore, I develop all my websites based on sound usability principles
as defined by international web standards and Dr. Jacob Nielsen, international
usability expert. While I believe that graphics play a huge role in designing a
good site, usability is my primary focus—I strive to have a balance of nice
graphics yet maintain strict usability procedures.

In addition, my employment as a substitute teacher has taught how to be
able to not only work with various types of people and personalities but also to
asses each individual’s needs and focus in on the problem in order to solve it.
I constantly update my skills in order to increase my knowledge in the fast
paced, ever changing web design field which is why I recently earned an A.S.
in Computer Technology from Greenville Technical College. Apart from the
qualifications that I list on my resume, I will list some additional ones below.

— Good working knowledge and ownership of Office XP/2003 Suite; PhotoShop CS2;
DreamWeaver 8; Illustrator CS2, Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5; Win98;
Win2K/WinXP; Vegas 6.0; Indesign CS2 and SEO

— Adequate working knowledge of VB.Net

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours, Jim Kay
