SELF-EMPLOYED and CONTRACTOR - 2004 to current
Webmaster, Independent, for small company Internet web sites
www.throop.com, www.retailrealestategroup.com, www.objectdatalabs.com, www.goellipsis.com, www.transfigcath.org
* Did contracting work for short durations at various companies. In addition, I did and continue to work with small companies designing/creating new and maintaining existing web sites performing tasks such as obtaining domain names, establishing sites with an ISP, understanding business needs to organize information, writing HTML, creating or changing graphics in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop, posting content, optimizing for search engines, coordinating efforts, and encouraging users to submit content. For a few months I did commission-only sales from internet leads for Global Support Software working out of my house.
RE INFOLINK, Campbell, CA - 2002 to Sept. 2003
Systems Analyst/Project Manager/Web Developer
www.mlslistings.com, www.reil.com, worknet (Intranet)
* Developed and designed a new site and organizational layout for the www.reil.com and the intranet. The reil.com site was designed but never implemented. The intranet was designed and implemented but not completed.
* Gathered user specifications and specified the front-end and database schema for a .NET in-house developed application to replace an internally used membership tracking application. 20+ years of MLS data was converted from a Tandem to MS SQL Server in July, 2003. After the conversion, I met with users to define and resolve problems and to create reports.
* Implemented IssueTrak (an ASP web-based call and project tracking application) throughout the entire company from start to finish. Defined users needs, negotiated purchase and support contract, converted historical data, customized ASP code in the application, and trained users in every department to use IssueTrak. Used DTS to convert 100's of thousands of rows of data from Access into MS SQL Server. Set up DTS and stored procedure to populate tables with membership information from one SQL DB into IssueTrak DB. The result was that for the first time customer support and the other departments had better customer service because they could refer to previous customer calls and information all in one place.

* Wrote ASP code to create "Move, Add, and Change" form used internally that resulted in having our employees more conveniently submit changes to the HelpDesk.
