Knot Eye Computing is seeking an experienced web programmer to begin working with us on some big upcoming client projects.
Knot Eye Computing is a small, but rapidly expanding Internet consulting and graphic design company located in San Francisco's SOMA district. We have landed some great new projects for clients who want us to develop custom web tools that help their businesses run more efficiently. Get in on the ground floor and grow with us!
We need an enthusiastic and knowledgeable programmer to work with our team on client projects as our business continues to grow. You should be looking to join a close-knit team of professional web developers and to work on truly groundbreaking technology projects.
Job Description:
You will work with the Lead Programmer to learn current projects in order to assume their management and execution as well as future client projects coming up. Your primary responsibility will be implementing the programming end of various web-based programs.
Requirements:
· 3+ years experience designing and implementing database driven websites.
· Fluency in various languages: PHP, Perl, JavaScript, SQL, hopefully C/C++ too, etc.
· Comfortable in a Linux environment
· Knowledge of Internet server apps: Apache, MySQL, Postfix or Qmail, Bind, etc.
· Sincere passion for technology, the Internet and learning more about programming
· Client/People Skills: you will work with our clients on their projects, so we need people who are personable and easy to get along with.
· Drive for Success: whether it’s a project or the position, our company requires a “take the ball and run with it” attitude for success.
Hours:
The position will start as part-time with 15-25 hours a week, but the right person will show their value and turn this into a full time position.
Compensation:
This is a contract to hire position, with initial compensation starting at $30-$50 per hour depending on experience.
