DESCRIPTION
Equilar, a profitable and rapidly growing information services company headquartered in San Mateo, is seeking an Operations Engineer/Web Developer. The ideal candidate will be someone with strong PHP skills to help design, build and maintain applications to support our growing organization. In addition, this individual will be a key member of the IT/Operations department and be responsible for maintaining shell scripts, monitoring backup jobs, and supporting our network operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent knowledge of PHP and HTML/CSS.
Excellent knowledge of Shell Scripting.
Expertise in using both Windows/Linux (RedHat).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and design/analytical skills.
Ability to independently own, design, write and test quality code.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
2 to 3 years of experience working in a web applications environment.
PLUSES
Database experience with either MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
Experience with Python and Perl.
Configuring and building in Apache, IIS, JRun and JBoss.
Experience maintaining and supporting servers and applications and/or LAN/WAN environment.
Deployment and working with web applications.
