Managed a group from 15-30 employees on a daily basis, the areas that were my
responsibility were receiving dept. / quality control / shipping dept / warehouse /
order pulling / scan and pack stations. All orders were time sensitive and had to be
pulled and scanned/packed and shipped within there start date. Cycle counts
were done each morning by assigned employees and turned in within that morning.
We had monthly goals that had to be met each month. As well I trained employees to drive the
forklift to be able to unload and load trucks.

Warehouse Supervisor
Supervised a crew of 4-8 employees, made sure that all daily orders were pulled and
staged for pick up and that all incoming loads got processed and put away within the
same day. The product was worked off a FIFO system and it was important we
assured that this process was followed. We had eight different accounts that was
warehoused in our building, so the demand of orders varied on each account. I drove the forklift to help assist in the daily tasks.

Processed raw material and RMA's, Worked closely with purchasing for any issues with any of the shipments. Assisted with Sales Orders and Purges when needed. Established a FIFO system for certain material that was received in, and had a controlled area for high dollar material.

Supervised between 12-20 people assuring that responsibilities within my department were being accomplished on a daily basis. My department included receiving all materials for the plant as well as anything for the main office. We also were responsible for pulling job orders on a daily basis that was scheduled for certain completion dates. Our accuracy of inventory was vital to all departments so we had to assure that we completed transactions for everything we pulled out of the warehouse. I conducted all reviews and any disciplinary action when needed, as well as scheduling time and attendance on a weekly basis.

Responsible for keeping inventory up to date, assuring that all low stock items are being ordered when they get to their re-order level. Our inventory count was quarterly and I had to be sure all counts were matching. I assigned stock numbers to new items that we ordered and assured that we have constant turn-around of the inventory. I supervised all functions of the shipping and receiving area to assure that all procedures were being followed and completed. I did half of the purchasing for the inventory to assure that we always had the product in stock.

I shared all other responsibilities for the store including the retail floor procedures, and warehouse area.

Promoted from receiving clerk to manager after two weeks. Responsible for hiring,
terminating, training, scheduling and organizing a crew of eight. This was a new store that opened in 1994. I assisted in establishing procedures and policies for my department. I successfully reduced inventory turn-around from the warehouse to the sales floor from 60 days to 24 hours after 8 weeks. Process included data input for all orders in the computer, and downloading data to corporate daily. And at times I was on the sales floor assisting with the retail end of things.
