VP of Marketing
IAG, a leader in software for Intellectual Property and Contracts Management, is looking for a VP of Marketing. This “hands-on” position will be responsible for corporate marketing activities, including formulating corporate and product marketing strategy, developing appropriate tactics, and communicating effectively to the market to meet corporate objectives. Role will include but not be limited to the management and execution of the following activities: immediate lead generation, customer segmentation and acquisition, messaging, positioning, market research, management of website and web marketing, and development of all collateral, advertising and promotional activities, public relations and analyst relations.
Position within Company: The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Experience: The ideal candidate will have
• 5 - 10 years experience in a senior marketing role in a software company – Experience with hosted solutions or software as a service is also desirable.
• Successful track record in developing customer acquisition plans, media strategy and budget for all marketing initiatives to meet corporate growth and brand development goals.
• Experience in development and execution of advertising, marketing and promotional activities including print, website, webinars, podcasts, special events and trade shows.
• Experience driving public relations, analyst relations and representing company at industry events: speaking and panel participation.
• Experience in product marketing: research and analysis on the market and competitive landscape, positioning, promotion, pricing and packaging, and product launch management.
• Proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with teams.

Responsibilities: All marketing functions, responsibilities and marketing team members will report to this position. This person will define, work with the executive team and then manage within the budget constraints of the marketing department – to meet the corporate strategic objectives – through marketing excellence.
An overarching responsibility will be for the ideal candidate to recognize the “organic growth” nature of the company and be able to live within a tightly-budgeted start-up environment – as well as be able to lead the growth of the company.
The ideal candidate will have project management as well as vendor management experience and be able to balance project management capability (ex: product launches) and marketing operational excellence.
Duties: Promote, position and image the company and its products through the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing and selling policies, programs and communications.
Develop and implement marketing and sales programs to enhance product awareness, customer analysis and targeting, maximizing return on investment. Where the highest ROI approaches dictate, create, manage and coordinate all direct marketing, advertising, media promotion, product descriptions and pricing strategies as required.
Analyze current and forecast future customer and market trends and prepare reports to help the management team define and achieve corporate objectives.
Research (and later direct efforts to research) new markets for existing products and new products for existing customers as well as future markets for new products to achieve sales growth and solidify market share.
Develop an overall cohesive and congruent image for sales and marketing collateral.
Generate and justify marketing budgets and develop methods to track accountability of marketing programs to maximize return on investment.
Measure and analyze customer response to marketing strategies and tactics, and take corrective actions as required to optimize sales and marketing efforts.
