About us: A professional-angel funded financial engineering software firm with a multi-patent pending Artificial Intelligence based trading and risk management application for hedge funds and banks. The company was founded by a UC Professor and his business partner, a hedge fund professional. We have a functional prototype in place, we are now working on creating distributed architecture with fault tolerance, and working with initial beta customers as well as redesigning all GUI using the .NET framework.
About you: A mid-level or senior Visual C++ / C# / .NET developer who is a hard worker that can handle the challenges, long hours and sacrifice of being part of lean startup, with the desire to be part of a soon to be leading software vendor in a prestigious and well paid segment of the market. You are passionate about everything you do, and especially high technology and the quality of your work.
Experience with distributed systems, threading and all things client-server are a must. Financial services and especially hedge fund experience a major plus; UC Berkeley educated a plus. Initial work will be under a 4 month independent contractor agreement with traditional package offered if you prove you should be on the team for the long term.
