This position will require a bachelor's degree in TV, Film, Fine Arts or related field with a minimum of 5 years digital video creation and proven competence in all areas of small-crew video production. Proven ability as camera operator and use of digital editing equipment. Must have strong writing and conceptual skills.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Channel Communications with direction from Video Production Manger. Works closely with Marketing Product Managers, Training Manager and Service Manager. Works closely with Motion Graphics/Designer to create media interface.
This purpose of this position is to create video materials for training, marketing, publicity and product advertising purposes. Work at the direction of Video Production Manager to assist/create dynamic, interactive materials beyond standard printed literature that assists our Dealers in their ability to relate specific Topcon product advantages to end-users. To work with Training Managers to create educational content for training classes here at TPS and at the dealers location. Create service/repair videos to assist in the training and education of dealer repair technicians.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ˇ To assist the Video Production Manager in the creation/scheduling of, and provide information for, scripts, storyboards, shoot locations and personnel as needed per project
ˇ Recommend new, alternative ways to improve video standards
ˇAssist in on location management of personnel and production supervision including appropriate lighting, shooting angle and placement and type of microphone
ˇAssist Video Production Manager in editing and assembling final visual/audio program material
ˇCan work independently in producing and completing assigned projects
ˇOversees the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED
Fluency in Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro
Strong, proven photography skills
Fluency in Photoshop
Expertise in both interactive and web video authoring and delivery a definite plus
Proven proficiency in shooting, editing and packaging complete video packages in multiple formats including, but not limited to, CD-ROM, DVD, WMV, and QuickTime
This position will require a working knowledge of construction industry tools and techniques and the use of Topcon equipment as they relate to various markets a plus
A thorough understanding of current Macintosh desktop video hardware and software, and a proven ability to use them to their fullest
A thorough understanding of current video delivery trends
Above average competencies in electronic publishing and communications
Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
Ability to work in partnership with other company personnel
Extreme trustworthiness and commitment to maintain exemplary character as a public representative of the company
