Originally made for carrying toy pets (still possible).
Can help teach a child the care of pets. For this purpose,
just provide a small toy stuffed animal to carry around.

Modified to carry any very small pet securely, like a
pigeon-sized bird, hamster, guinea pig, kitten, or rabbit.
Chicks would be too small, smaller than the vent holes.
No need for something real large when going to the vet.
