Essential Functions

1. Work on the Tools Framework team to design the tools framework, services infrastructure and graphical user interface.
2. Help evaluate and recommend best development and architectural approaches including leveraging existing frameworks such as Eclipse.
3. Write tons of great code that serves as the core of our service and tools framework.
4. Work with product design and QA to ensure the highest level of productivity and quality in your work.

Education/Experience/Knowledge

1. BS/MS Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years experience as a software engineer, in a commercial product environment.
3. Highly skilled in Java development. Direct experience in the following technologies and environments: Ant, 3D rendering and animation using OpenGL or DirectX, client/server systems using SOAP/XML, JUnit & test driven development, Windows and Linux.
4. Ideally has experience with Hibernate, Spring, Tapestry, Tomcat, Log4j, MySQL, Windows 2003 Server, Scripting.
5. Eclipse extension or plug-in development and C++ experience a plus.

1. Outstanding architecture, modeling (UML), design and coding skills.
2. The ability to rapidly assess design alternatives and converge on pragmatic solutions.
3. Must be able to work as a core team member, sharing peer feedback and collaborating with different technical and non-technical disciplines.
4. Must be able to design and write secure code.
5. Excellent working knowledge of the support toolset used for benchmarking and analyzing J2EE components
6. Must be well versed and experienced in a test-driven development environment
7. Direct experience as a member of an Agile development team.
8. Strong work ethic; extremely organized and detail-oriented.
