To the people of San Leandro:
I just received Sample Ballot for San Leandro Unified School District Special Election. My opinion is that Measure A is not an investment in community of San Leandro. The only what this Measure A provides is money to a small group of people with a special interests. It is just a demand for money from parcel tax by people who does not even live in San Leandro. What are they going to do, when parcel tax expires in six years? I am sure they will ask for even more money.
“More money” is a mantra of U.S. President G.W. Bush asking for more federal spending. “More money” is a mantra of our overextended government bureaucracy. “More money” is a mantra of San Leandro School District. The only people who do not get “more money” are property owners.
So I will vote for NO MORE TAXES! You people should learn how to live within your budget means. Do not borrow. Do not spend what you do not have. Or you and probably all of us will make this country, this state, this county and this city BANKRUPT.
Measure A does not provide a clear long term vision and plan for spending with adequate control. Measure A mantra is “more money.” I am sure they will find the way to spend them all. They always do.
