It has simple, clean lines, reminiscent of the chic cosmopolitan 50s. It's upholstered in a "waffle-weave" vintage wool, in an ecclectic shade of green/gray that coordinates well with earth tones and neutrals. Excellent condition and clean.
It's a quality chair-- very comfortable and solid. It has a roomy broad seat and medium height back. It's medium size, big enough to curl up on, but not a big chair. It's sturdy and heavy-- well made and is meant to be used, not just admired. The tapered wood legs are in perfect condition and are a dark espresso. It has elegant details that give it interest, notably the broad band at the seat, and the fabric buttons at the back (characteristic of the era). This picture doesn't do it justice.
This is the real thing, not a reproduction off the modern conveyor line. These vintage chairs are very popular now, but are hard to find (especially in such great shape). I'm only asking $245 for this 50s beauty, much less than it's worth. It's priced to sell. Call NOW @ 415/641-5312; 415/330-3000, ext 232
