Okay. What the...? I thought the L word was, to a large extent, for queer people, women in particular. Clearly, I am wrong. This show, which I so eagerly wait for each season, must be written by christian fundamentalists who want us to feel bad about our lives. Why else would we continue to be shown that being with a man is the only 'normal' or happy lifestyle? A poster earlier pointed out that only those in hetero relationships are happy on the show. I agree. It makes it seem like we are missing something great.
Bette is now a yuppie soccer mom in training. She got a man, some new clothes, but still has that darn black baby to deal with. What the fuck? She had that baby to represent her and Bette. Now she is walking around like some suburbanite with a labotomy! Speaking of Bette, why would she hire the same lawyer that tried to fuck her wife last season? Lame.
What's up with Max and his unruly new facial hair? Come on, he looks more like teen wolf and don't get me started on that voice! Jenny is one sick puppy. I have to agree with her ex, next time we watch the show she just may be with a German Shepard. After all, the producers and writers only show heteros in happy, healthy relationships.
Carmen and Shane getting married, per the preview of the next episode? Give me a break. The hot Shane that I once adored would not marry Carmen, who she shows very little chemistry with, just because her friend died. Especially after she gave her such a hard time for cheating even though she cheated herself. Shane shows more chemistry with Jenny than Carmen, hello? I have to admit that their sex scene was a nice distraction from Dana's uneventful death scene. They could have at least made her twitch or something.
I have to hand it to Alice for her ability to make me feel that she was devastated after Dana's death. I wanted to see her beat the shit out of that nurse who told her to leave but the primal sobbing and beating the wall was sufficient.
Peace and don't go looking for a man... hetero's aren't the only ones who can be happy!
