Whip Records offers a convenient, peaceful location with plenty of free parking and a pleasant working environment. We provide all aspects of the recording process - recording, mixing and mastering- and can take your project from its beginning to the final c.d. master.
Whip Records was completed in August 2001. The studio was designed with the artist ‘s comfort in mind. Though intimate, the facility can easily accommodate a variety of groups- allowing musicians to record "live" while simultaneously achieving excellent isolation between instruments for the purposes of mixing and overdubbing. The studio has a spacious control room, a live room, iso booth and a drum room built on a floating floor , with full visual contact between the musicians and the engineer.
Whip Records is also home to a beautifully maintained Steinway Grand piano model L - arguably one of the finest recording pianos in the bay area. In. The Steinway is currently tuned and voiced to concert specifications. We also have an in house Dw all maple drum kit with Zildjian cymbals, Vintage Fender Amps and guitars and Music Man basses.
Rates are normally $75.00 per hour with engineer. $700.00 for a ten hour block. But call for deals too Good to post on line!! Please ask about our special prices for Craig’s List customers .
