I am a No. California top-ranked tennis player and a USPTA Certified Teaching Pro. I am currently offering private and semiprivate lessons for adults and private, semiprivate and group clinics for kids and juniors.
A little about me:
- current ATP, ITF Pro Circuit and USTA Men’s Open Circuit player
- top-ranked in No. California Singles Men’s Ranking (# 4 in the Men’s Wildcard List, #6 in the Standing List in March 2006)
- top-ranked in No. California Doubles Ranking (# 3 in the Standing List in March 2006)
- 19 years of playing, 4 years of teaching experience
- USPTA Certified Instructor
- part-time Assistant Pro at Belvedere Tennis Club in Tiburon, CA
- finalist of the 2006 SAP Open Prequalification Tournament in San Jose, CA.
Lessons and clinics are custom tailored based on the level and objective of the player(s) and may include:
- warm-up and stretching
- error detection and corrective technique
- hitting drills based on the nature of the error
- hitting sessions and court games
- point or game play with tactic and strategic suggestions
- footwork and conditioning drills
- fun games (for kids)
Proper technique and footwork are the essentials of improvement. That’s why I place strong emphasis on the biomechanics of each stroke (grip, stance, backswing, point of contact and follow through) and correct footwork (ready position, split-step, open or closed stance, step in).
I'm currently scheduling some weekday and Saturday lessons.
My rates are:
- private (1 person): $ 45/hr
- semiprivate (2 persons):- $ 50/hr, 70/1,5hrs
- junior clinics (ages 10-12): $25/person per 1,5hrs
- kids clinics (ages 5-7): $20/person per hr
