Description Leading Bay Area Communications Company specializing in global event and media production is seeking a Technical Coordinator.
The Technical Coordinator will:
Work with in-house production staff to define audio visual specifications for events and event proposals designed to secure new business
Create RFPs, send to selected AV vendors and evaluate vendor responses
Create accurate cost estimates for staging projects world-wide
Assist in booking freelance technical directors
Perform occasional technical site surveys
Provide on-site technical direction for several events each year
Help present technical seminars for production staff
Help to run and maintain IVC AV equipment in-house
Help to develop and maintain strong relationships with key AV staging vendors and freelancers throughout the world
This position requires a minimum of five years experience in the area of technical direction and corporate event production. A deep understanding of video and media production is very helpful in this position. Some travel is necessary.
