| HELP!!! I have the most precious, loving, intelligent, kid-loving miniature dachshund that you have ever met. My problem - a 2 year old that won't leave her alone. I love our puppy - she will be 1 in May - but my son, well I can't give him away and he and the dog, right now, are not a good match. I need a little time for my son to learn what "gentle" means. Ginger is a great dog. She is not a chewer (she knows what her toys are and what not to touch-furniture etc). She does not bark unless provoked, she potty's outside if you take her out every 3 or so hours, she loves other dogs and kids, and has a GREAT personality. She loves to snuggle you in bed. She will go to sleep when you do and will not move an inch until you get out of bed and force her to start her day. I don't want to have to give her away, but I need someone to love her temporarily while my son matures just a little. I feel bad for her because I am constantly putting her in her crate (she is crate trained) to protect HER from him!!! I know my chances are slim, but maybe you will befriend her for 6 months??? I will provide all her food, cover all vet visits, and any other expense she requires. I just need a temp home for her. Are you a possible candidate? Help out a poor pup! Maybe your kids want a dog but before you get them one, you try out mine?
