SPT - Small Precision Tools, a world leader for over 30 years in micro miniature ceramic injection molding (CIM) and semiconductor tooling seeks a highly motivated, hands-on Systems Analyst to support our growing business in Petaluma, CA.
SPT is looking for a hands-on individual to redefine the IT department. Candidate will be responsible for all IT Functions, including business systems, infrastructure and help desk.
Will assist company throughout the administration of existing ERP and software initiatives. Must deal equally with senior management on strategic issues as well as operations personnel on procedural issues. Ability to manage time and perform multiple tasks without sacrificing quality is a must. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Activities include, but are not limited to:
Actively participate in the day to day technical operations of the IT department
Manage Telecom PBX System
Manage LAN infrastructure and work with IT units in Asia and Switzerland for overall WAN support
Provide desktop support to PC users
Manage Office Equipment for the Facility
Administer ERP system
Provide reporting/business intelligence data from business systems to various groups in the organization
Ensure efficient operations of IT department by creating procedures and policies to manage the majority of day-to-day operations
Skills should Include:
Excellent Technical Skills in a windows environment. Exposure/understanding of financials, manufacturing, order entry, purchasing, etc, a plus.
Deep knowledge of Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows XP and Windows 2K is required.
Knowledge of relational databases.
Working knowledge of Lotus Notes.
Knowledge of network environments, LAN and WAN.
Strong database report writing skills
Ability to research, analyze, evaluate and interpret data.
Ability to set and meet critical deadlines.
Prior experience with Symix/Syteline/Frontstep product line a definite plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Three or more years of lead IT role in a financial and/or manufacturing environment.
Proven, ground level experience in at least one high-level IT discipline.
Successful experience in managing multiple IT projects/functions
