The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Wind River's Workbench Development Suite with a focus on the design, development and execution of system level tests. These tests validate the operation of Wind River Workbench in an environment that closely simulates customer applications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality Wind River Workbench based on effective System Test efforts
- Ensure quality Wind River products based on effective System Test efforts
- Expand the scope of System Testing to best cover customer applications
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge of embedded system development and test practices
- 5+ years QA experience
- Development experience in C, C++ or Java
- Experience testing development tools
- Experience with automated GUI testing
- Able to work independently, and as a part of a distributed team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of basic OS internals such as scheduling, IO, memory management and various bus architectures
- Proficient in debugging techniques using both command line utilities such as GDB and visual debugging tools.
Desired:
- Experience working with offshore test teams
- Experience with both UNIX Solaris/Linux and Windows environment
- Knowledge of Wind River customer applications
- Knowledge of 3rd party tools
- Previous experience with Eclipse IDE
- Experience in test automation
- Familiarity with large scale, complex development processes
- Experience with scripting languages, such as TCL and Perl
