OBJECTIVE

· Nine years experience migrating and supporting Microsoft Networks with Windows 2000/2003

I serve in the United States Coast Guard in a Res/Aux unit. I am a Vessel Examiner. My duties and skills include (VE) Vessel Exams, Boating Safety, Marine Inspections, Radio Communications for SARS (Search and Rescue Missions) at the SF Embarcadero Command, assist in the Sea Marshall program, charting/navigations, routine patrols of the San Francisco Bay waters and open seas along the California Coast, including Air Patrols for Search and Rescue. Subject to On-Call duties in case of emergencies for Homeland Security- (One weekend per month). I choose to serve in the Coast Guard to support the environment, create awareness, help others, such as Search –n- Rescue, caring for humans and marine wildlife and protect our homeland.

I provided support for all ASP production systems that included Oracle and Gemstone Database’s on Windows 2000 and Red Hat Linux 8.0 platforms, Citrix Metaframe server administration: ICA/ Printer/Add/Changes. JBoss App servers. Support routines included systems monitoring, network latency response, and general security management including COLO data center support systems. Responsible for updating monthly application releases of content to all production databases. I interfaced with customers resolving, Citrix, db/application and routing issues. 24x 7 On-Call rotations were one week per month. VPN and Dial in access support for remote end users. SANS and NAS backup configurations supported using Legato. All server and database administration, weekly and monthly maintenance cycles. Other accomplishments included:Trade show setup of network, upgrading and creating documentation for development and use of new technology. Responsible for Windows 2003 test lab and Rapid Deployment.

I managed a network for 150 users, DNS, VPN, Backup strategies. Win2K, NT 4.0 & Linux. Upgraded hardware for all servers, built new infrastructure for Finance & Call Center ACD System.
