A little about me. I'm a fourth year UC Santa Cruz student (I graduate in June). I study politics. My focus is on Irish politics and traditional justice. If party affiliation is of concern, I am a leftist Democrat. Party affiliation is not of particular interest to me.
I spent the last academic year studying in Dublin, Ireland, and then traveled by rail around Europe for the summer. I've been to 21 countries including standards like Mexico, Britain, France, Italy, and the less traveled like Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
I work for a major Bioinformatics lab (Human Genome project stuff). I know it sounds weird with my credentials, but I'm good at my job, which mostly involves filing and helping brilliant scientists function in the world the rest of us live in.
I hope to move into either local government or non-profit job after graduation. Some kind of place where I can make a difference in people lives. That's my goal for my life, I want to make a positive difference in people's lives, big or small, and have some good stories to tell.
Physically, I'm 6'1, muscular, 230. Brown hair, green eyes, broad shoulders. Very masculine looking.
My taste/interests/hobbies include in no particular order: conversation, public service, Thai food, transitional justice, politics, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Kanye West, cooking, Italian food, and anything Irish.
As far as a relationship goes, I'm looking for something that could develop into long term, but not in I'm not in a hurry. I'm looking for some one who is courageous in all things. Someone with guile. Also, somebody socialable and is into hanging out with friends.
Musician would be a plus. I have no musical talent myself, but I seem to get a long with musicians.
