San Francisco's fastest growing day spa needs a full time aesthetician to help with quickly growing facial and waxing business. After only two years we are the busiest destination in the city for facials and waxing and still growing. We are looking for that truly exceptional individual who wants to take their career to the next level and have some fun doing it.
We have a beautiful new two million dollar facility, cool staff, awesome clients, and collective management experience running some of the most interesting, successful, and cutting edge day spas in the world. In other words, we know what we are doing and we have a track record of success, which will translate into removing the clutter from your work environment and allow you to be much more efficient and productive in your work.
We are located in the Financial District, which means that we are at the Hub of all of SF’s public transportation, so we are convenient to anywhere.
We feel our aestheticians are the best in SF (and compensated as such) and that is what has led to our great reputation and continued growth. Therefore, we are very selective in our hiring. What we are looking for:
* Tremendous verbal communication skills - a people person who connects with clients and knows how to speak with them about sensitive issues such as their skin and how to take care of it.
* Ability to function as part of a team (yes, everyone says this, but maintaining our close, cooperative team environment is essential to us)
* Magic hands
* at least two years full time aesthetician experience (If you are short here, please write us a cover letter why you should be the exception to our hiring rule – hint: saying that you love aesthetics is not exactly going to separate you from dozens of other experienced-challenged applicants that invariably reply to our posts). Please also provide an average of how many facials you do in a week over the time you have been working.
* Willingness to learn new things, and to un-learn what you may already know - we will provide plenty of training, but we will do some things differently than some people are used to.
* Extensive knowledge of the skin and product ingredients, and a burning desire to learn more.
* Willingness to work weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun).
* Highly developed skills (i.e. lots of post-school experience) in any or all of the following: Brazilian Bikini, Boy-zilian, Microdermabrasion, oxygen, chemical peels.
