1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
I got this car to begin my exploration in fixing cars & to be able to say "My first car was a 1969 Cutlass!" I loved it while it lasted, worked on it, but I'm not a body & machine shop. I know a if you're a real car lover & know the ropes you would enjoy this car & all the swell things you could do to it. I know quite a few people who would want to see it on dubs.
Only three owners, the first owner died shortly after buying the car & passed it on to his sister in superb condition. I have a complete history of the work that's been done to it as well as the original deed to the car. After the little-old-lady got too old to drive it to & from the grocery store or church or whatever she got some car dealer to sell it to me a few years ago for $6,000. A classic tale.
Machinery:
Engine is a stock gold Rocket 350 (got pictures to see how much room you have to work). The brakes which are still drum (unless you want to convert them). There is a slight leak in the front driver's-side brake so it pulls a little to the left when you break. Needless to say the brakes have air in them because of this so they will need to be bled & the leak to be fixed. Tires are new, front brake shoes, timing chain, starter, air filter, water pump also which I installed myself. Comes with a brake lock, the original manual, Chilton's manual, Fisher Body manual and a '79 manual for any extra help or looking into interchangeable parts.
Cosmetics:
I have more pictures than can be posted on craigslist, mail me if you would like to see more. I'm not going to bullshit you, this car runs beautifully but I've had quite a bit of fun in it. It needs new hood, front bumper, side-view mirrors, some quarter-panel and paint work, new headliner, new seat apholstery (the rear is like-new, aside from a tiny burn from the second owner). Original hubcaps are in working condition, some spot welds done myself that I'm proud of. Body is rust-free otherwise, which is very hard to find and the interior is saavy as well as still having the AM Transistor radio.
