Nzilani Glass Conservation specializes in glass conservation, restoration and commissioned works. We are a small company that is currently expanding. We concentrate in conservation of stained & painted glass panels, ranging from the 10th-21st Century.
We are seeking a person with the following criteria:
Attention to detail
Cleanliness of work environment
At least 5 years experience in hands-on stained glass fabrication with lead/copper/zinc came. (Artists skilled only in copper-foiling or Tiffany technique need not apply.)
Ability to be discrete when interacting with clients
Availability Monday Friday for at least 7 hrs. Start time is negotiable.
Knowledge of stained glass art history, glass painting, material science, & conservation a plus
This is a full-time position available immediately until May 1st, 2006. If you are a good match with the company, there may be potential work continuing past this date. Starting salary is $25/hr for the first week with a potential to go higher based on your experience, skill & ability to get along with the rest of your colleagues. The cap is $35/hr. We currently do not offer health insurance.
