Typical workweek: 40 hours
Position Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the month-end accounting close, AP, AR and vendor relations.
Major Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Month-end close.
•Prepare journal entries.
•Reconcile bank accounts and account analysis.
•Assign general ledger codes to A/P invoices.
•Enter all A/P invoices and process weekly check runs.
•Correspond with vendors regarding payments, questions or other miscellaneous issues.
•Issue Purchase Order numbers.
•Post weekly revenue into accounting system.
•Maintain all paper files including setting up new files and filing paid bills.
•Additional duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Physical Requirements: Estimated percentage of daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that may need to be lifted on the job.
•Sitting for several hours at a time.
•Lift and carry reports or other papers weighing up to 5 pounds.
•Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting
Knowledge and Skills:
a) Special knowledge or skills necessary for this position:
1. Accounting degree or equivalent experience
2. QuickBooks proficiency

Compensation: $16-$18/hour plus club membership and product discounts
