Responsibilities:
- Defining the security systems administration process, you will fulfill all requests to engineer and implement changes to various security services components including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virus scanning and prevention systems, authentication and access control systems, audit trail management systems, and various other security related functions.
- Monitor all security event sources (audit logs and real-time events generated by security systems) for potential malicious activities including conducting rudimentary attack verification and, if appropriate, initiate the CIRT process.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level problem resolution and troubleshooting support for a number of security services components.
- Assess the risk and policy adherence of every security system change request related to production security services.
- Use process management tools to track information about security systems administration requests and security events.
- Participate in all process development activities focused on Security System Administration and Security Event Monitoring processes.
- Author security system specific operations and management documentation including as-build service configuration documents and operations and management procedure documents.
- Develop software as needed to integrate various systems such as employee information from Oracle Financials to automatically provision new and terminated employees from accounts, access, etc.
- Understanding and developing security architectures to provide division of responsibilities as well as separation of layers of infrastructure as well as understanding database security from an access and application level perspective.
- Distributed and transparent/automatic encryption of file systems, files, logging, databases, etc.

- RedHat Linux
- MS Windows 2003/XP
- Apache
- Cisco IOS ACL, Cisco/Arrowpoint Load Balancers
- TCP/IP protocol suite including routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, etc.)
- RSA ACE Server
- Single Sign On Experience
- Strong PKI Experience
- Strong Perl abilities meaning authoring from scratch tools to automated and integrate disparate systems for information and automate security processes
- Must have successfully been a key player in Certification Processes such as WebTrust, SAS 70 Type II, BS 17799, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.
- You should posses a strong understanding of the various open source tools to harden networks and systems as well as knowledge of tools that will clearly show vulnerabilities.

Experience Required:
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 8 years of experience in security system administration and security monitoring work.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proven customer interface management and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large number of complex security system change requests while ensuring a high degree of work quality.
- Current experience with cutting edge and current technologies in a heterogeneous environment.
- Proven experience in balancing security needs and implementation methods with business requirements and job functions needing to do their work.
- Past experienced with proven and successful methodologies of full audit trail and tracking systems.
