1. Development and management of a $12 million project budget, project schedule and scope.
2. Key technical leadership of the project.
3. Leading the development and issuance of an RFP including complete requirements analysis and development of a detailed statement of work (DSOW).

(2002-2003): Korean Power Exchange TWBP (Two Way Bid Pool) Project
· On behalf of PwC Global (now part of IBM Global Services) and the Korean Power Exchange, Dr. Ghosh played a leading role in requirements analysis, architecting, designing and implementing the integrated market solution for the Korean Electricity market.

Dr. Ghosh’s contributions covered the areas of Market Applications and Market Applications interface with the real-time Energy Management System. Specific responsibilities include engineering due diligence on creating the market rules for the Korean electricity market, oversight responsibility of specifications, architecture, design, testing (Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance testing) and implementation of the Market Applications. His responsibilities also included oversight responsibility of the integration of the ABB SABLE Market Applications (TWBP - Two Way Bid Pool Market) with the Alstom ESCA Habitat Energy Management System used for the Cost Based Pool (CBP) market.


Eturn Communications, Inc, Sunnyvale, CA August 2000- December 2001
CTO, V.P. of Engineering & Operations
· Built Eturn Communication’s technology infrastructure from the ground up. In addition to CTO, was V.P of Engineering and V.P of Operations. Dr. Ghosh’s role included co-architecting responsibility of the Eturn software infrastructure, the software application, the Co-Location as well as the “chief builder” of the Eturn Engineering team.

· He personally hired almost the entire technology group including development engineers, QA engineers, and operations personnel including key personnel such as Chief Architect, Director of QA and Director of Operations. The Eturn technology group was an international group spread over the United States and Europe and uses state of the art technologies such as J2EE (including JMS, EJB, JSP in a BEA WebLogic 5.1 environment), XML and Oracle.

EGGHEAD.COM, Menlo Park, CA 1999- 2000
Director of Engineering
· Directed engineering managers, architects, lead engineers, senior engineers (more than 30 engineers) in the development of Onsale’s e-commerce site. Technologies included C++ and JAVA in the MS IIS and Sun JAVA environment as well as COM implementation of Middleware in the Windows NT environment with an Oracle database in the backend.

· Recruited key team members, provided business and technical leadership of mission critical initiatives, provided strategic direction to the continuation of Egghead.com’s technical leadership in the e-commerce business. Dr. Ghosh’s role included architectural oversight of Egghead’s technology, spearheading process implementation efforts as well as mentoring of engineering managers


ABB Energy Information Systems, Santa Clara, CA 1997 – 1999
Senior Engineer and Project Manager
· Building real time grid operations EMS systems (ABB SPIDER and EMSYS). I had overall project responsibility for 4 large ABB EMS/Power Application projects. These included the MEPCC (Michigan Electric Power Coordination Center) and AEP (American Electric Power).

· Responsible for developing and deploying the ABB NERC Tagging software and its Web based implementation. This also led to the first pioneering efforts to get ABB software products working over the Internet.

· Responsible for project management and implementation of two major Interchange Scheduling projects at MEPCC and AEP.

· Played a key role in requirements analysis and the development of RFP responses in support of ABB’s sales and marketing efforts to win business in the area of emerging electricity markets.


Commonwealth Edison Company, Chicago, IL 1990 - 1997
Senior Engineer (System Planning Department), Technical Project Leader (Bulk Power Operations)
· As a Transmission Planning Engineer at ComEd my duties included working in the transmission planning group (PSS/E load flow, PSSOPF Optimal Power Flow studies, Unit Commitment), the Technical Studies Group (voltage stability and dynamic stability studies) as well as providing the System Engineering group with design support for substation design (including transformer sizing, cable and overhead wire capacity sizing, substation siting requirements etc).

· As a Transmission System Planning Engineer I performed projects in compliance with requirements of the Illinois Commerce Commission as well as the requirements specified under the 10 year franchise agreement with the City of Chicago.

· Key responsibility for development and maintenance of power applications software running on the ComEd Energy Management System (EMS). Also technical lead of the ComEd vendor selection team for ComEd’s new power applications suite.
