* Develop network encryption applications upon a secure messaging infrastructure.
* Work with product management and other engineers to design encryption, storage, and search architectures
Description:
- Postini seeks a senior software engineer with experience in encryption and search technologies to help build security, storage and search applications upon our existing secure messaging infrastructure.
- The engineer will help develop such applications using the appropriate language and tools.
- The engineer will also evaluate 3rd party technology for inclusion in Postini's infrastructure.
Required experience:
* 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and higher level network protocols
* Experience developing multi-threaded server applications for UNIX platforms
* Demonstratable mastery of C/C++
* Solid Java skills, experience with Java application servers
* Comfortable developing applications that rely on relational databases.
Desired skills:
* Experience developing network encryption applications
* Experience with indexing and search over large distributed storage systems
* Working knowledge of TLS/SSL handshaking, PKCS #5/7/8/12,
x509 certificate & chains, symmetric/asymmetric encryption,
digital signatures, Open SSL
* Linux development experience
* Perl programming skills
* OO Methodologies
* Experience as Lead Engineer or Architect
* Experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Education:
BA/BS or equivalent
