Description Mindjet is the leading provider of software for visualizing and managing information is currently looking for a creative, energetic and results-oriented IT Senior Manager to focus on Mindjet’s Global IT Infrastructure operations. This position will be based at the company’s headquarters in the Bay area (Larkspur until April 2006 and then San Francisco Levi's Plaza near the Embarcadero Center).

Mindjet is looking for a highly motivated SR Manager to direct and manage information technology strategic plans, policies, processes, and operations for the company’s global computer services, and network communications to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.

This position requires direct responsibility for all IT Infrastructure operations including: server data recovery and backup, server monitoring, network including wireless, telephone support, second level support for all applications (e.g. Active Directory, Exchange server, web site hosting, Intranet, etc), related training within Mindjet, and Systems Administration.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development of strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure the computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives.
• Lead our international groups of network and system administration.
• Ensure operating policies and approaches for computing and information technology are maintained.
• Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
• Interact with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the capture, storage, and processing of information.
• Review and prepare major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment.
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
• Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
• Responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring performance of a global team
• Ready to respond 24/7 to make decisions and ensure IT supports critical business functions
• Ensure effective project management, capacity planning and prioritization takes place across all IT
• Responsible for user satisfaction and responsiveness as a key member of the management team


Required Skills:
• Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations. Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a small/medium size company environment.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems; Unix a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Productivity Software
• Knowledge of corporate networks, security protocols, back-up solutions, server farm technology, wireless security, Intranet, SharePoint, managing of database server, ERP systems, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, group policies, workstation administration, web & lead tracking systems, Patch Management, mobile communication, Microsoft SQL
• Requires 10+ years of information technology experience, including five years in a leadership role in an IT environment. Bachelor of Science degree required. Must be willing and able to work on a hands-on basis. Must be prepared to do international travel.
