Sports Writers and Media Critics Needed
Sports Media Watch is the premiere website for independent analysis of national sports media. Our mission is to provide a unique forum for insight into how media coverage affects our understanding of sports: Sports Media Watch serves as a watchdog to the nation's sports media establishment (ESPN, this means you).
We don't rehash arguments over which pundit is right or wrong; instead, we explore what it means when SportsCenter leads with NASCAR right after ESPN picks up broadcast rights to the Nextel Cup. We've been recognized by Deadspin and plan to build on our existing base of users to grow rapidly over the next few months.
Where can you fit in?
We're looking for writers and contributors to help us fullfil our mission as both a watchdog and a source of insight. So ask yourself ...
-Do you have an idea for a column or a feature about some aspect of sports and media?
-Are you a daily viewer or listener of one of the major sports talk shows? Willing to post a diary of the content covered that day? We're particularly interested in:
- SportsCenter
- Pardon the Interruption
- Around the Horn
- The Best Damn Sports Show Period
- The Jim Rome Show/Rome is Burning
- The Dan Patrick Show
- The Herd with Colin Cowherd
- Mike & Mike in the Morning
