EXPERIENCE
June 2005 to Febuary 2006: Ciotti Communications: When Norvergence folded I took 220 of the customers and provided ongoing service not only in the voice arena but also in many cases took over their existing LAN/WAN network.
Febuary 2004 to June 2005: PBX/Network Manager, Norvergence: Responsibilities included supervising 14 voice/data techs who installed T1 and T3 Channel Banks to segment out 512 K for high speed internet access while utilizing the remaining bandwidth for voice use. (All digital circuits originated from Newark, New Jersey). We also provided all customers with the ESI Telephone system which had T1, tie trunk, and IP telephony capabilities. I utilized T1’s in 46 installations and IP telephony in 7 installations and ongoing service. I also managed a customer data base of 359 customers.
April 1994 to December 2003: County of Riverside, Systems Technician. Helped Implement the New Cisco IP Telephony System Ericsson CMS, Call Management System. Am certified in complete aspects of the Ericsson voice communications equipment. Responsibilities include installing Cat. 3 and Cat 5E high speed data cabling anywhere from 1 cable to 1,000 cables on any 1 job, to install Ericsson telephones, both digital and analog, and to troubleshoot various components, both hardware and software, of the system, countywide. Included in my responsibilities are the LCR and routing patterns to allow 5 digit dialing throughout the County of Riverside. Also am certified, install, and maintain Nortel equipment and all Norstar equipment. I have installed probably about 175 of these systems up through the 0X32 with multiple expansion modules and also with ACD included in the Applications Module. I Have supervised and/or overseen the installation/repair of the County of Riverside’s Ericsson digital PBX equipment, facsimile systems, TTD equipment. I am extremely skilled in the installation and service of analog and digital telephones, 56kb lines, Ti and T3 circuits to the channel interface level, PBX switches, tone tester, Windows 95, Office 97, T-Berd T-1 monitor and test equipment, Automatic Call Distribution or ACD, Auto Attendant, Call Rating, Direct
April 1994 to December 2003: (Cont) Dial or DID and Non-DID connectivity, CSU=s Dial-up modems, 110 and 66 block wiring, 2,4,6,and 8 conductor color code and am definitely able to coordinate and plan all new telephone and telecommunications services, repair and modification on circuits and hard wire equipment.
I was requested to serve as a Telephone Systems Coordinator. Job tasks included the writing of installation service orders, interfacing with Pac Bell and GTE for the provision of service both analog 1MB’s and digital T1 and T3', for integrating customer communication systems together. I performed total system designs and applications for a variety of County departments, most notably a totally new system for the Department of Mental Health.
January 1992 to April 1994 : Ciotti Communications, Owner/Operator. Responsibilities included and still include obtaining and maintaining a customer base. Job Costing, writing and responding to RFP=s and RFQ=s, maintaining a database of customers including being a subcontractor for various companies. Writing and proposing various equipment to customers depending on their financial situation. Selling, installing and maintaining equipment such as Active Voice VoiceMail/Auto Attendant systems with up to 800 users, Vodavi voice Mail and key telephone systems, AT&T PBX Systems like the System 75 RlV3, and Definity G3 PABX systems, Merlin Legend, Partner, and Classic Merlin key telephone systems. I am factory certified in all these systems. Have sub-contracted to do the initial job walks, job costing, and responding to the RFP, winning the bids, and then being responsible to be the Lead Tech on the jobs that I have done for Southern California Edison revamping their entire data backbone which included installing Cat 5 cables to each of an average of 200 locations. Installing 6 and 12 strand fiber optic cable for use as the backbone cabling system used in conjunction with Bay Networks 10-Base-T and 100-Base-T Computer networks utilizing the Token Ring UTP Network. I am also Factory Certified in Bay Networks Token Ring and 10/100-Base-T Networks. I also have installed complete computer networks such as building 300 MHZ Pentium servers with 128 Meg RAM, 3, 100 gig hard drives, 3com NIC cards in various PC’s with either DOS, Windows 95, and/or Windows NT Software. Have done upgrades from Novell 3.12 to 4.11 Intranet ware software and used the server as a switch between the 10 meg and 100 meg systems. Also included starting from Scratch and engineering/designing both the voice and data networks using Cat 5 cabling for both voice and data. Installing the cabling, relay racks, 3com and Bay Networks 10 and 10/100 Base-T network data Hubs, re-building the servers, engineering the Off-Premis voice and data networks using T1’sand T3’s connected to Cisco routers which then connected to the 3com and/or Bay Network 10/100 base-t hubs.
February 1989 to January 1992: Ranpac Engineering, Communications Manager/Computer Engineer: Responsibilities included overseeing the AT&T PBX System 75, the installation, service and upgrading of the switch, and installing and maintaining all three data networks and their respective cabling backbones. The networks were the Alpha Micro system, the Digital Vax 3800 which supported the Vango engineering software, and the Novell network with Arcnet UTP topology. Also included in my responsibilities was the installation of various software on all new incoming PC’s such as DBASeIV, WordPerfect, and some engineering stand alone software.
December 1986 to January 1989: Ciotti Communications, Owner/Operator. Responsibilities included sub-contracting to Great American Bank headquartered in San Diego, Ca. I was a traveling Voice/Data tech install UTP Cat 3 topology for both voice and data applications. Also installing 3270 IBM controllers for all these various sites. Also sales and service of various voice Key telephone systems.
March 1977 to December 1986: Pacific Telephone/Bell, I&R and Special Service Tech.
Responsibilities included installing basic 1MB to 400 multi-line centrex telephone service and then special high speed 4-wire 56 kbps data circuits. The installation, service, and repair of all these circuits were also a part of my responsibilities. Took early retirement to go full time on C & C Communications.
