| I just had THE WORST experience at Gerry's Grill in Union City!!!! First I was real excited because there's finally a nice restaurant where Filipinos can eat their own food. We waited 1 hour to get seated, we got 1 menu between 3 of us, we didn't even know who our waiter/waitress was, we never got refills on drinks, and we didn't even get one entree that we ordered. We got our check discounted, but that's hardly the point. I couldn't help but get the feeling we were crashing a huge Filipino party. Which gets me to the annoying Filipino part...everyone there knew each other and they were the only ones getting good service and probably a free meal.There's a reason why Filipino restaurants will never make it here in the United States, because of the STUPID Filipinos running it! Which is the same mentallity of their country. Once they are put in a position of power, they get greedy, they get pompous and they just get stupid with the money and fame. They're show offs, they're loud, they're always trying to get away with something!!!! Filipino people bug me and I'm Filipino. I can look the other way at their cheapness. I'll suffer through the phony and non-phony accents. But there are rules to follow people!!!!! Take my advice...DON'T GO TO GERRY'S GRILL!!!! Don't let them get away with horrible service and mediocre food. Just let it die a peaceful death like all the other Filipino restaurants.
