The Spawn Supervisor supervises and participates in the seeding of spawn, culinary and nutraceutical units, and directs the preparation of the seeding rooms and equipment. Reviews direct reports and documents according to ISO 9001 standards. The Spawn Supervisor also maintains and inspects the spawn and performs microbiological monitoring. S/he collects, inputs and generates reports of incubation data gathered as part of QC. Assists Spawn Manager in media preparation and manitance of culture storage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
a.Exceptional English. Knowledge of Spanish a plus.
b.Good math skills.
c.Ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately.
d.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly as part of a regular routine.
e.Ability to prioritize, assign tasks and work independently without supervision.
f.Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
g.Excellent problem solving skills.
h.Ability to train other employees effectively.
Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
