This ad is for a SONY TC-260 Reel-to-Reel deck that will record (with a mic) and play old reels of your own. The tape speeds are 3 3/4 and 7 1/2.
The TC-260 comes in its own case with an attached, heavy-duty handle, making the unit fully portable (if heavy--but I can carry it with one hand). The hinges on the case cover are missing and I can't find replacements, but the cover still gives a secure fit and does its job, protecting the controls and reels.
This is an old machine, but recording and production aficianados won't hesitate to tell you that SONY has only gotten worse over the years--this unit is from the company's golden age and, like a 1950's Chevy in Cuba, will work for YOU even when the rest of the world has moved on.
This is a great, portable piece of analog equipment for recording your lo-fi folk opus or just playing old Rolling Stones reels. For $150 I'll include FORTY unused tape reels, in their boxes, that I've acquired in bulk. I'll also throw in a bound reproduction of the original user's manual.
Save HUGE on shipping and handling by picking this up at my address in the city--this is a heavy item and picking it up will be worth your while.
