Some thoughts about death

Description I privately wonder what it must be like to suddenly know you will be dead in a few minutes. Like if you get shot and there is blood pouring out. What do people in that situation do? Is it total panic, a sense of frantic urgency to get medical help even though it is useless? Or do people just quietly cry to themselves? Or do you get pragmatic - like asking the nearest stranger if he wouldn't mind picking up your Dry Cleaning next Tuesday?

To me, I might think it would come with a sense of relief. If I knew there was nothing that could be done, I could maybe relax - no more anxiety about my "to do" list. No more worry about pleasing people. No more worry about when my death would come. Here it is, the grand finale.

I might toy with the idea of leaving everyone with one more prank. "I have a safe deposit box. Inside you'll find $14 milllion. The key can be found in my.....(gasp cough sputter dead)"

Or maybe say something like, "I have information about the Vince Foster killing...."

I don't know. Guess I won't know til it happens. And then it doesn't really matter does it - at least not to me.
