Performed as a Solutions Architect for Razorfish's two major consulting offerings; Enterprise Solutions and Digital Marketing Services. Provided leadership in solution selling and the delivery of the appropriate technology plan and systems. Major accomplishments included:
Enterprise Solutions Group (Practice Lead)
Led the West Coast Enterprise Solutions Practice which focused on Portals, Intranets and Extranets solutions. Developed a “Go To Market” strategy that included a Marketing Plan, Sales Strategy, Solution Frameworks and Partners Alliance Strategy. As practice lead, he has worked with clients to develop their portal strategies and technology roadmaps. Genentech (Enterprise Architecture Services)
Played lead architect role that produced a deep technology audit and future architectural vision and Roadmap plan for a major SFA application. This project involved leveraging a comprehensive understanding of SFA architectural patterns such as mobile client, replication, multiple device channels, meta driven customization and SOA XML integration design. Additionally at this client he architected several J2EE based solutions for systems such as Commercialization Best Practices, Clinical Trials Collaboration and a Thought Leader Extranet Portal.
McKesson (Enterprise Architecture Services)
Played lead architect role for two projects McKesson.com and McKesson’s internal Intranet (MckNet). This involved using standard J2EE architecture and designing a new content management and portal system (Vignette CMS/Portal). Additionally, assisted on a strategic plan for McKesson’s new Web B2B initiative. This involved developing an architectural blueprint consisting of web, application and data services tiers and a phased implementation roadmap. Major platforms recommended in this design including Weblogic Server, Vignette CMS, Webmethods, SAP Order Management and McKesson’s legacy Order/Pricing systems.
E-Loan.com (Architect for Lead Generation Program)
Performed as the lead technical architect for a new Razorfish service offering that delivered "site conversation optimization" using Multi Variable Testing (MVT) technology. This system architecture was based on Apache, Perl, XML and MySQL. The system integrated on the front-end with online banner ads and also integrated with an analytics platform using beaconing tags. The project involved conducting a “proof of concept” to ensure feasibility and was designed with the goal of establishing a “Site Optimization Framework” that could be offered to additional clients in the future.

Conducted a mobile strategy review with CommerceScout (SupplyChain Middleware) to assess opportunities, determine technology plan, and educate executives on the Wireless Technology Landscape. Lante proposed wireless capabilities for leveraging CommerceScout's core processes in a mobile environment, and designed a technical solution to establish optimal mobile infrastructure for their needs.
Content Delivery Platform (Software Framework)
Architect for wireless platform for enabling Web Site content to mobile devices. Architecture involves content scraping from HTML and parsing thru an XML presentation engine. Platform supports the WAP and Palm protocols and provides a flexible framework for emerging wireless standards. Implemented several pilot mobile prototypes for a syndicated content provider using this platform. This Wireless Platform also contains a Messaging Engine for sending Net Mail and WAP Alert messages.

Rational Software Corporation (Developer's Portal)
Provided technology consulting for Rational's new "Developers Web Portal". This ASP Service is a new venture for Rational and centers around making Rational's Tool suite available through an ASP Service. As Architect, played lead role on Rational's "Content Management" design and integration strategy.
Earthbank Corporation (Online Banking Site)
Performed as a lead architect in the design of an online Internet bank. Activities include vendor/technology selection for both front-end Web and backend banking processing systems. Architectural responsibilities involve integration strategy, security solution, scalability and deployment planning. Solution components include Personalization, Predictive Modeling, Core Banking, Bill Pay (EBPP), CRM, Internationalization, Content, Security, Middleware and Hosting.
Ocular Sciences, Corp (Sales Force Automation Application)
Performed in the lead role in the design of an enterprise Sales Force Automation application. This system integrates with OSI operational systems (BPCS) to provide real-time access to order, credit and other critical account information. The application is based on Domino Web Technology and DECS middleware for AS/400 DB2 integration. This browser-based application supports an internal and external sales force of 70 users. Also, designed Ocular Sciences initial Web Site that established their marketing presence.
New Zealand Milk Products (Document Management System)
Played lead role in the analysis and design of a Domino.Doc implementation. Project involved designing a document repository for 4,000 company ISO9000 forms. The scope of implementation covered 4 offices and 200 users. The project involved customizing the Domino.Doc application, specifically in the areas of metadata, views, workflow processes and document hierarchy.
H.D. Vest - Irving Texas (Data Warehouse)
Performed as the technical lead in the development and implementation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse for a financial services company. Data Warehouse was developed to analyze trends in Products, Trades and Customer activity and was completed in four months with a team of six developers. The Data Warehouse was constructed using SQL-Server, Cognos and ERWin tools. The project resulted in a corporate data dictionary, an operational data warehouse and an OLAP reporting environment.
Hewlett Packard - Mountain View (Disaster Recovery)
Developed Disaster Recovery Plan for a "FileNet/Lotus Notes" document management system. This comprehensive document details all the necessary procedures for business resumption in case of system failure or disaster. HP has utilized the framework of this document for subsequent DRP initiatives.

Developed Phillips Components corporate intranet using the Lotus Domino platform. Site contains 15 sections of content including Discussion Forums, Scheduling, Company Forms and General Company/HR Info.
CGI Systems Inc (Corporate Website)
Redesigned and functioned as Web Master for CGI's corporate website. Project utilized Lotus Domino technology on an NT server platform. Responsible for web team development and content management using approval workflow processes.
Sony Corporation - Semiconductor Division (Sales Force Automation)
Performed as Lotus Notes developer for two applications; Sales Document database and a Discussion database. Developed graphical navigators, LotusScript agents and general Notes programming. Applications were part of a pilot rollout of the Notes platform to Sony's Sales force to facilitate information dissemination and communications. Consulted and assisted in the deployment of a Notes Server platform. Assisted in mobile and desktop configuration structures. Also, taught, "ACT! For Notes" Fundamentals session for Sony Sales Personnel at Catapult's training facility.
IBM Corporation - Business Consulting Group (Computer Based Training)
Lead developer in a Computer Based Training (CBT) application for IBM's business consulting practice. CBT application developed was a comprehensive set of training materials to be used to teach IBM's Wisdom methodology. CBT modules included a variety of templates styles including Presentation, Quiz, Glossary and ScreenCam. Software was developed using AimTech's IconAuthor multimedia development tool.
CGI Systems Inc - Multimedia Group (CD-Rom Author)
Installed Internal NT/IIS WEB server for CGI's Client/Server & Multimedia groups. Tasks included establishing a WEB presence on the Internet and FTP services. Lead developer of a CGI promotional CD-Rom for distribution to its customer base. This multimedia application provides overview information of all CGI's practice groups. CD incorporates all aspects of multimedia; Video, 3D Animations, Music, Voice-Overs and Interactively. Application was authored in Macromedia's Director. Other tools used include Photoshop, 3D Studio, Premiere and Sound Forge.
Rhone-Ploulenc Rhoer Pharmaceuticals- (Mail Implementation)
Performed as analyst/designer in a Microsoft Exchange implementation. Project scope was to establish an enterprise wide mail strategy for central directory services. Specifications were developed to propagate (synchronize) MS-Exchange data to 12 MS-Mail postoffices. This Synchronization functionality was developed in VBA, OLE and MAPI.
Philadelphia Electric Company - (Coporate Desktop Planning)
Developed several Microsoft Office prototypes to demonstrate the capabilities of this suite. These prototypes were used to showcase PECO's new corporate desktop; "Centurion". Prototypes included MS-Word forms and Excel Applications demonstrating their integration with MAPI, ODBC and OLE.
Campbell Soup Company - Sales Department - (Sales Force Automation)
Performed as application developer on Sales Force Automation project. This "Category Management System" provided regional sales managers the ability to give notebook-based presentations to supermarket accounts with current sales and marketing information. Application used an EIS style interface with graphs and drilldown capability. The system utilized MS-Access reporting database which received data from centralized mainframe database through a dialup download capability. Visual Basic, Access Crystal Reports and Powerpoint were used as development tools.
IBM Corporation - Business Consulting Group - (Consulting Methodology Development)
Participated in the development of IBM's internal consulting methodology; WISDOM. Primary role was to review development activities such as Prototyping and Object Oriented Techniques. Having had a solid background in application development methodologies from the role of practitioner, primary role was to test the materials.
Medical Marketing Group, Inc - Headquarters - (Data Warehouse)
Participated in the design and development of a large scale data warehousing environment. Activities included establishing a meta-model, logical modeling, creation of physical database structures, populating of data and the implementation to the enduser community. Processes were established to automate all aspects of this environment. Technology and toolsets used on this assignment included Sybase, ERWIN, RS6000/AIX, MS-Access, Desktop DBA and GQL Reporting tools.
SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals - Corporate Headquarters (Speaker/Event Tracking System)
For a leading Pharmaceutical Company, performed as lead technical developer in the development of a micro-marketing application that tracks and coordinates industry convention activity. Application was written in Visual Basic, MS-Word and SQL Server. Several 3rd party products were used in conjunction with Visual Basic including Crescent Quickpak, Spread/VBX, Farpoint Tab Pro and Crystal Reports.
CGI Systems Inc - Philadelphia Offices (Instructor)
Developed and taught a Client Server Methodology course. The course curriculum included the latest in JAD, RAD, OO, and Prototyping techniques. This class has been conducted as part of an internal certification process.
State of Delaware - Social Services - (Operations Planning)
For a state agency, implemented backup strategy, system monitoring, and performed capacity planning exercises on a SQL Server/Compaq Prolient NT environment. Prepared white papers documenting these guidelines for consulting practice use.
Liberty Mutual Insurance- Bond Services Group - (Claims Processing System)
For the bond insurance division of a major insurance company, designed, developed and implemented a complex database replication architecture. Programming was performed in SQL- Server using stored procedures and RPCs to replicate asynchronously selected data across 12 branch office servers. Consulted on and assisted in the implementation of an SQL Server backup and recovery process. Analyzed SQL performance issues and performed optimizations to schema and index design.

- Competitor Analysis System - Application tracked company financial performance vs. key competitors and was designed for executive-level usage. Dashboards utilized drilldown grid functionality and Excel graphing and reporting. Data was consolidated from the company G/L system (AS/400) and a Dow Jones on-line service. (Development Tools: Visual Basic and Ingres DBMS)
- Call Tracking System – System tracked all customer relationship activity for technical support centers. Project involved process reengineering and resulted in improved customer service levels. Application was delivered to Customer Service, Sales, Technical Support and Engineering Groups totaling 200 users. The solution utilized Ingres Vision 4GL and DBMS and Reflections Terminal Emulation. All reporting was developed using IQ reporting tools and integration with MS-Office products.
- IT Help Desk System - This system tracked all IT projects and end-user support, as well as budget/cost information. All programming was accomplished using Ingres Vision 4GL and DBMS.
- Budget Reporting System - Application provided budget information by department and budget in a three-level drill-down presentation. Application was implemented to 80 users. Application was developed in Visual Basic and Ingres DBMS. Data sources were consolidated from LAN, AS/400, and VAX systems using ftp and SQL. Other products used were Q+E, Crystal Reports, and Excel.
- Manufacturing Simulation "Advanced Planning System" - This reporting simulation system leveraged a data repository of MRP/MPS information from multiple manufacturing systems. Data architect included integrating four different manufacturing systems and delivering xWindows access to four users. All work was accomplished using STRADIS development methodology.
