Job Description:
The Software Tester, Training and Technical Writer person will prepare tests plans and documentation and perform tests on Hormann Americas products. The tests will be done in the various development stages and the person will provide information and support on what can be improved in the product. He will prepare the product documentation, train the users and provide assistance with any issue that they may have. Training will be done mostly at the customer premises.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of documentation for the end user and the conduction of product testing.
Researches engineering schematics, technical design specifications, interface design, design diagrams and test specifications with design engineers.
Acquires and organizes basic source material, including applicable specifications, engineering write-ups, and drawing packages.
Working with the software developers and the operational users.
Solving problems through phone and email use. Users of Hormann America products may contact via phone or email about issues regarding the installation or the use of the products, and the employee will provide assistance.
Qualifications:
Experience with Windows and Linux operation system.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Primary Skills: Troubleshooting; Network; Documentation
Must have both desktop and network systems troubleshooting experience.
Experience in technical customer training
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detailed knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, Multicast, etc.) and Network analysis tools (Sniffer, Ethereal, etc.)
Knowledge of network equipment setup and configuration.
Detailed knowledge of working in Windows and Linux operating system environments.
Knowledge of different programming languages. Java, .net, C++.
Knowledge of a scripting language advantageous.
Experience with software testing and test methodologies.
