RELEVANT WORK HISTORY

1999-2006 Software Test Engineer, Software SETT Corporation
Completed ad hoc and structured testing on various telecommunication and web projects; have a good understanding of the testing lifecycle and its many phases. These phases include the test plan, development of manual test cases and test procedures, black-box testing, and the test summary report. Maintained and redesigned the corporate website as follows.

* www.ksett.com (client Software SETT Corporation). Regressed software development builds for kSETT, a web-based, Java Test Case Tracking and Management application. Entered and validated bugs using Seapine’s Test Track Pro bug tracking tool. Wrote and updated html web pages for the help files for the application.
* Voice Recognition Software Testing (client: Edify Corporation). Wrote and implemented test cases for voice recognition software for phone company customer calls. Executed tests numerous times on several builds and regressed fixes. Logged all results in kSETT. Wrote the final test summary report for this project.
* Product Configuration Knowledgebase (client: Hewlett-Packard Corporation). In addition to testing two knowledgebases, also worked to ensure that both databases were in synch with one another. Followed monthly schedule in verifying new product releases; created solution templates and test cases. The solution templates allowed the customer to select and purchase complete computer systems with relevant storage. Test cases were written to validate system design integrity, and to address potential known or unknown application bugs. Was involved with customer support using trouble tickets and customer relationship management (CRM). Tested engineer fixes to reported issues.
* Configuration Template Management (client: Hewlett-Packard Corporation). Maintained solution templates which involved creation and editing of large scale computer system configuration white boards, html and image files.
* Web testing (client: Converge, Inc.). Supply Chain Management. Performed standalone, staging, and production test of the B2B auctions module; cross-referenced existing, functional test cases to the integration test outline to identify omissions and overlaps; executed initial and regression tests of the integrated analysis module, “Plan”. Identified defects, input them into the bug database and retested for closure.
* Chassis and modem DSL technology (client: Tut Systems). Wrote modem and chassis test cases for a wide range of product releases for a minimum of 5 releases spanning three years. Executed tests for network routing and line cards. Identified defects, input them into the bug database PVCS Tracker and retested for closure. Wrote final reports. Attended weekly meetings with the client, escalated defects for proper resolution.
* www.softsett.com (client Software SETT Corporation). Maintained the corporate pre-existing website for two years, including restructuring some pages; adding new links, buttons, images, pages; and ensuring visibility to various search engines using effective keywords and regular submissions to Yahoo, AltaVista, Goggle, etc. Subsequently redesigned the site, converting it from a frames based site to a table based site. Redid the colors, buttons, and images, etc.

1978-1981 Associate Programmer, IBM Corporation
JES2 subsystem change team member. Worked cooperatively with other change team members to develop software fixes for reported software problems. Was familiar with IBM 360/370 Assembly Language, VM 370 CMS Exec and JCL.

1976-1978 Engineering Assistant, General Electric Corporation
Assisted nuclear engineers with the running of FORTRAN programming projects, including analog to digital magnetic recording tape conversion.
