Software Quality Assurance Analyst
As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Copart, you will help to plan and execute the testing efforts of the development team to ensure that our web-based software products meet or exceed our product requirements and performance standards. Your technical experience will be utilized to design, write and execute test plan and test cases, while your QA experience will help the QA team improve Quality Assurance standards and processes.
Responsibilities
·Design, write and execute test plan and test cases using industry best practices for testing methodology
·Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect counts and priorities using a defect tracking system
·Define test requirements for software testing and ensure traceability to specifications.
·Perform functional testing to ensure the product meets system specifications (black-box testing).
·Perform software Regression Testing to ensure that no defects are introduced from changes made during and between design cycles.
·Participate in Requirements and Design Reviews to ensure product testability.
·Ensure software meets intended use requirements, customer workflow and user scenarios.
·Continuously helps to improve Quality Assurance standards and processes.
·Research and implement new an improved testing methods, processes, procedures, tools, and systems for repeatability and reliability
Qualifications/Experience
·BS in Computer Science or related degree
·2+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) software testing of complex hardware/software systems within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
·Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies using QA tools (Bugzilla).
·Must have solid SQL Query experience
·Strong written documentation and organizational skills
·Highly flexible and able to work on multiple projects with changing priorities
·Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
·Knowledge of Java, RPG & AS400 a huge plus
·Experience with software testing automation a plus
