Description: Software Engineer - Messaging
Description
PGP Corporation is developing multi-platform security software to secure email, files, disks, and other media. This position will play a lead role in bringing about the email implementation of these products. This candidate should be adept at messaging protocol issues including deep knowledge of messaging protocols such as SMTP, POP, and IMAP.
Requirements
* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
* 5+ years C/C++ programming in a Unix environment, preferrably Mac OS X or Linux
* This position is on-site in Palo Alto, CA
* Strong understanding of networking, protocols, and threads
* Strong familiarity with messaging protocols such as IMAP, POP, and SMTP
* Understanding of message formats including MIME, HTML, RTF, and TNEF
* Experience with CVS/Subversion, Bugzilla, and strong familiarity with large-scale software product development processes
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
* Experience with PGP and other security products
* Understanding of OpenPGP, OpenSSL, OpenSSH and other IETF security protocols
* Familiarity with MAPI, Exchange Server, and Lotus Notes
* Familiarity with security APIs such as PKCS#11, PC/SC, PGP SDK, BSAFE, or CDSA
* SOAP/XML/XSLT Experience
* LDAP and Directory Server Experience
