Havok is interested in hiring a Software Engineer in the San Francisco office
We are looking of a Software Engineer who is able to work as a team-member, focus on development, and be able to communicate the needs of customers – artists and technical directors – back to the various Havok groups.
The position is technical and requires in-depth knowledge of 3D math, as well as the ability to vision with game developers on novel and cool ways of using physics in games. Ideal candidate for the positions would have some experience developing 3D applications and wish to expand and push the boundaries of what can be achieved with Havok in 3D games.
Skills and Experience:
• Very good Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, Physics or related field / equivalent professional experience
• Solid understanding of software design best-practices and disciplined architecture methodologies for software
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Participated in design and architecture of interactive artist tool
• Direct X or OpenGL experience
• Experience working within and extending one or more scripting/reflective languages (Python, Java, C#)
• Plug-in development for 3D Studio Max, Maya, or SoftImage
