Amazon is looking for a unique software engineer with a background or interest in data mining, machine learning or statistical analysis for the Customer Behavior team. The Customer Behavior team's purpose is to develop tools and techniques to better understand our customers, with the goal of generating incremental profit through improved strategic decisions, customer-facing algorithms, and improvement of the content we deliver to customers. If you're motivated by high-impact, fast-paced, data-driven environments, this is the job for you! Candidates must be innovative, creative, flexible and self-directed, with the ability to design and write reliable, high-performance, maintainable code. Solid communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are critical

Qualifications:
Candidates should be experienced in Java or C/C++, and SQL. Candidates should have a track record of proven on-time delivery and mastery of building and deploying production systems, along with experience with large database-driven applications. A minimum of 2-3 years work experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline is required. An advanced degree in computer science or mathematics is preferred.
