The El Camino Hospital Auxiliary has a great opportunity for a creative person with initiative. The Auxiliary seeks a strong candidate with management experience in the food service industry.
Responsibilities: The Snack Bar Manager will; develop and oversee all aspects of food production and presentation for the Snack Bar, maintain quality of food service and of customer satisfaction, support employee and volunteer teamwork, and ensure compliance with regulations relating to safe food handling.
Qualifications:
· Minimum three years experience in food service management, including promotion
· Must have proven knowledge of FDA Food Codes (HACCP food safety system), and OSHA regulations; must be certified by an approved food safety program
· Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and work under multiple demands
· Experience and demonstrated skills in budget preparation, expense management, and market based pricing
· Demonstrated computer competency in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Job Responsibilities:
· Manage the Snack Bar and achieve positive financial performance
· Be familiar with current food trends and initiate recipes/menus
· Develop merchandising and promotion strategies
· Organize and maintain inventory, work space, storage, and supplies
· Work with El Camino Hospital Nutrition Services to train and supervise employees
· Work with Chair and Co-chair of El Camino Hospital Auxiliary to train volunteers
This position is available immediately and is approximately 20 hours per week.
