SUMMARY
Sleep Consultants greet and treat customers with respect and dignity at all times. He or she interacts with customers to design a bedding solution that suits the customer’s needs. Maintains in-depth knowledge of product offerings. Qualifies customer’ buying decisions. Utilizes computer to record and access customer information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
•Greets and treats customers with respect and dignity at all times
•Qualifies customer and makes recommendation based on customer’s needs
•Uses a consultative selling approach that matches customer needs and product options
•Deals with customer concerns and questions professionally with care and interest
•Accurately presents products offered, quotes prices and customer charges
•Closes the sale and verifies customer’s positive buying decision
•Writes-up orders to generate invoice numbers
•Obtains credit authorization for purchases
•Addresses customer concerns and questions professionally with care and interest
•Contract with Distributors to arrange for delivery of product
Requirements:
•Energetic, possess a positive, courteous, and professional telephone manner, tactful communicator; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
•Able to work retail hours, evenings, week-ends and holidays
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, pleasant, courteous, clear articulation and tone
•Outstanding listening skills, grammar, articulation, tone, volume, and pitch
•High school diploma or GED mandatory
•Superior qualifying, listening, influencing and negotiating skills
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Superior customer service skills, and able to build courteous relationships and interactions with internal and external customers
•Flexible. Able to adapt to changing schedules, priorities, reliable and punctual
•Willing to take on additional assignments
•Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service ; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments
•Able to work independently with minimal supervision
•Knowledge of Inventory software, Order processing systems, Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful but not necessary
